When you cross the threshold of the main doorway of Connecticut Country House, the first thing that you’ll see, after being greeted by Martha Luther King, the cat, and Fiona our vibrating, tail wagging terrier, is the wall directly across our newly located living room. This area, as well as other key sightlines throughout the house, is often targeted as my quick fix spot to freshen up the look of the house.

These spots are where, without a lot of fuss, or expense, just simply changing up a few things, re-swizzling, can really make an impact on the areas that I see every day. Whether it coincides with the seasons, a holiday, a whim, or, more likely my latest find . . . it’s always different and always great fun!

Happy decorating!

Love, Nora

Ready at the waiting those airy pine branches kindly refresh and replace resolve a yearning for all those once fresh greens removed after the holiday. You have inspired once again, Nora. I shall harvest a few of my own later today. If only our post snow storm landscape, now disturbed by our feet, paws, and tire tracks and the plows and sand, didn’t look so bleak.

Missed you the past few days!
Like the pine branches in the buckets. Okay, give, what is the material of the buckets? What medium is holding the branches upright? As usual, everything looks lovely and once again, I am inspired! Please don’t quit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
