The season is changing, and the blooming is beginning to wind down in the gardens of Connecticut Country House. Instead of relying on flowers for an arrangement, I often will gravitate towards using the rich colors, wonderful textures and sculptural beauty of produce.

Taking one of my larger harvest baskets, I’ve layered in a variety of vegetables: leaf green ruffled lettuce, crinkly cabbage, colorful kale and bright orange carrots. The combinations are infinite and soooooo beautiful!

This simple, yet abundant looking centerpiece, would set a wonderful end of summer garden tone, anywhere in your home.

Happy styling!

Love, Nora
