Children’s artwork and handwriting always makes me smile. I love to display it where it can be seen everyday.  This piece, simply framed in antique red and displayed in our kitchen, was penned when our son Conor was about 5 years old.

One of his favorite pastimes when he was a little boy, was to play restaurant.  Out came the pots and pans from the kitchen cabinets.  At his request, I’d happily make him his very own chef’s hat from an inverted paper bag, customizing it so that it would fit snugly on top of his little head.  It was on one of these occasions, with notepad and pen, in small yet determined hand, he crafted this menu from one of our favorite cookbooks.  Try to make out the entrees.  I bet that it’ll make you smile too!

Happy decorating!

Love, Nora
