With Love From The Farmhouse Project:A Valentine’s Cocktail For 2
I’m so excited to feature some of my favorite fellow bloggers this year! Please meet Shawn & Kris of TheFarmhouseProject.com. You may already know them as the Country House in the Woods homeowners from my book. They decorate, cook, bake, garden (just to name a few), and are fabulous home entertainers. It’s their talent in mixology that brings a beautiful POV to the blog today. Take it away Shawn & Kris!
We’re celebrating Valentine’s Day with a festive new cocktail that everyone will enjoy. The tradition of giving Valentine’s Day roses dates back to the 17thcentury. This expressionist art focused on one’s ability to communicate using flowers without uttering any words at all. Nowadays we celebrate the holiday with many words of love, some chocolates, flowers, and now a tasty new cocktail!
Inspired by our love for margaritas and the smoky flavor of mezcal, we crafted a delicious Rose Mezcal Paloma you can mix up for that special someone on Valentine’s Day. The hint of smokiness with pink grapefruit and a splash of rose water are the perfect flavor combinations to celebrate this special day. Check out our simple recipe below and Happy Valentine’s Day from the farmhouse. Cheers!

It sounds exotic and delicious! I saw something very similar on the cocktail list at the Eastern Standard last week in Boston!
