Cisco Home is about inspiring creativity by reimagining the mix of sustainable materials and textures for today’s home. The High Point Market Design Bloggers Tour took us there to experience their environment that was filled with upcycled elements and classic furniture forms treated to unexpected, yet familiar textiles.

The beauty of Cisco Home is the patina that’s evident everywhere. Instead of the feeling of a showroom, it felt like a casual, lived in, and thoughtful loft home–from chairs and sofas dressed in handwoven textiles, large area rugs pieced together like  patchwork quilts of old rug remnants, tables made from industrial parts, and lighting fixtures reimagined from bottles, baskets, and steel bowls, The play of super oversized mirrors anchored focal walls, and became pieces of art that reflected back all the living that was going on in such a cool space.

My #1 takeaway? Adding something unexpected and reimagined with a well-loved and well-worn patina into our homes is really the right track to be on.

Enjoy my photo tour of Cisco Home, and I hope it inspires!

Love, Nora

Thank you, Nora. Coming upon items in unexpected settings or with new purpose is a collector’s form of “rescue.” Plus it trains us to be better observers, better curators or our own loved gatherings.
