Country House Style rolls with the rhythm of the seasons. And there’s nothing like the beauty of the fall foliage here in New England! I love hanging wreaths for any season on the front door of the old house. I’m thinking a wreath covered entirely with colorful leaves would be perfect! A quick stop at Michael’s craft store for faux maple and birch branches, and recycling natural wreath bases is all it takes to brighten up my door…or table. WFSB’s Better Connecticut asked me to show how its done, and I was more than happy to oblige! (This time I was flying solo…it was a little wierd for me, as I was missing my buds, co-hosts Kara and Scot!)

Watch today’s Halloween segment with Kara and me on Better Connecticut, Channel 3 at 3:00. We’re giving away my handmade Fall Foliage Wreath with a stunning Polish Pottery Halloween Jack O’Lantern from Uno Alla Volta! You’ll see that I put the 2 together to make an impressive and gorgeous Halloween centerpiece!

To enter, please go onto my Nora Murphy Country House Facebook page, look for the Giveaway post and just leave a comment! A lucky winner will be selected at random Sunday morning and announced on that post!

Good luck!

Love, Nora

Nora… just a note to tell you how happy I am to have your new Book, it’s beautiful…. I love your taste… My daughter lives in an antique home and I am going to share your book with her… she’s about to rehab her kitchen and I know that she will find the photos of your lovely home an inspiration… Now onto making my Fall Wreath!

I also LOVE your book. I live in a house that was built in 1727 and have a degree in Historic Preservation. I so appreciate your ability to preserve the old while adding a modern vibe. Keep on posting !!!!

O Nora, how I love your book! I’ve been pouring over it for weeks now and it sits on my chest/coffee table for all to enjoy. I adore the “coop” and would love one of my own, since I grew up on a poultry farm…

I’m wondering how you insulated it since the inside looks like the outside and I know chicken coops aren’t insulated:)

The fall wreath is lovely. Looking forward to more and thinking hard about the yellow ware bowls:)
