As I write this post, It’s the most wonderful time of the year is playing in the background. Thank you Mr.Tony Bennett….I couldn’t agree with you more. It’s the first day of December, and already my calendar is pretty much full! It’s going to be a challenge to accomplish all I’m planning, or have in the works, but it’ll be a great feeling to close out 2017 knowing I gave it my all.

So here’s the scoop of what’s happening at NMCH this month:

Better Connecticut’s Scot Haney and his wing man/cameraman, Eric, were here at Connecticut Country House yesterday shooting 2 segments for December: Introducing Scot to my NMCH Candle Collection in my workshop (formerly known as my dining room), and a New Year’s Day Brunch dressed up the old parlor. If you’re in Connecticut, the segments will air 12/11 and 12/28. We’ll also post them here on noramurphycountryhouse.com.

My newly launched online NMCH Collection is doing great! Thanks to you, we hit the ground running! Thank you so very much for your orders! The paper white bulbs are sold out, but we have plenty of NMCH Natural Soy Candles and Gardener’s Hand Salves (perfect stocking stuffers!) in-stock for your holiday gift giving! Please note: To receive your order in time for Christmas, we’re recommending placing orders by 12/20. You can shop here!

We’re putting the finishing touches on our online Holiday Magazine. If you haven’t subscribed yet, please do so here! You’ll automatically get an email announcing its arrival. Looking for more holiday inspiration? Please check out our library of archived Holiday Magazines here!

We’re reviewing the first draft of my NMCH Style book (to be published by Vendome Press, and in stores September 2018). All I can say is that it just keeps getting better and better! Yay!

I’m so honored to have Connecticut Country House featured in this month’s Country Living Magazine. Their team did such an amazing job capturing the spirit of this old home.

A collaboration with Champagne Taittinger is in the works…Ooh la la and Cheers!

And to keep an eye on the month at a glance, please do download our desktop calendar here…it’s my gift to you! (We’re working on 2018 now, and will have that for you later this month!)

In the meantime, I hope to plant my paperwhites and amaryllis soon, do my Christmas shopping, decorate the house, and try my very best to enjoy the most wonderful time of the year. 🙂

Happy December! Wishing you all the best in accomplishing everything on your December list!

Love, Nora

I have enjoyed your use of plaid at Christmas. After I slip covered my sofa in red Stuart plaid and bought my husband and sons tuxedo pants in the same tartan, I started looking for everything plaid and found wrap, ribbon, napkins, chargers, flannel gift bags at Home Goods, shoes, and even a dress! I found pants for my grandsons and skirts for my granddaughters. It has been fun to go on the hunt for “all things plaid.”
