This past weekend, I was honored to be invited by the AmericasMart Atlanta team to participate in a panel discussion moderated by Adam Japko: Blog to Brand – Harnessing the Intersection of Online Channels to Build Your Brand at The Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market®. In the great company of two fellow Design Bloggers Hall Of Fame Winners, Courtney Allison and Paloma Contreras, we shared our experiences of how we got started, how we’ve persevered, evolved, and grown our blogs and brands. The common thread between us was that we all share a passion for design.

Before and after my gig, I had the chance to walk the multiple floors of the three buildings. There was so much to see, but there were two looks that were incredibly fresh and inspiring:

  1. The theme of nature and garden inspiration was everywhere. I loved everything from the faux birds nests to bird prints and botanicals. Preserved boxwood, beautiful clay and metal containers along with big, boldly woven baskets, projected a HIgh Country look that I absolutely adored!
  2. Blues! Blue & White combos were everywhere! As a die-hard lover of this classic color palette – I loved the fresh way in which everything was all so beautifully and eclectically mixed, from apparel to tabletop, and artwork to textiles. It truly got my creative juices flowing!

This was a great weekend of giving and taking!

Thank you to everyone at AmericasMart Atlanta for your most gracious Southern hospitality!

Love, Nora

I attended the panel discussion. I am a 37 year veteran of markets in Atlanta, and have attended many simanars over the years. I have to say this was the best I have ever been apart of. Adam did a great job and each of you on the panel shared so much knowledge and encouragement! Couldn’t wait to get back to the hotel and start following your blog, and I love it! Thanks so much. Hi Nora, I would have loved to have been in the audience for the Blog to Brand panel discussion. As someone who has recently started a Blog this information would have been so helpful. If you hear of another event or somewhere where I can get any information on this subject, please let me know. Thank you so much
