Hello October!

For me, October 1st really, truly is the 1st day of fall. Here in Connecticut, October is quintessential New England. The air gets brisk and crisp, the farmstands are abundant with gorgeous apples, pumpkins and mums, and our walks get more and more awesome as we’re surrounded by the brilliantly colored leaves on (and off) the trees, and all the way down to the weeds (that can be the most beautiful of all!).

Happily, my chunky Irish knit sweater is now my uniform, and the wooly tartan throws that were stored away for the summer, get placed strategically throughout Connecticut Country House.
