Freezing cold temps and a new coat of snow remind me to feed my chilled neighbors – the sweet birds that winter in the trees and brush surrounding Connecticut Country House. Their favorite nibble? Why, whole sunflower seeds of course! A small galvanized bucket with a tightly fitted lid, is kept handy just outside of the back kitchen door; ready to feed my extended Country House family every winter morning.

Here’s to staying warm and well fed!

Love, Nora
