Just a few well chosen accents, in soft golds, adds a touch of warmth and elegance to the serene bedroom of my dear friend and designer, Marta Eriquez.

Flanking a gilded mirror, 18th century candle sconces, were a find from the Paris Flea Market. Their worn patina echoes the gold hang up detail found on an antique wooden finial. A curated collection of 18th and early 19th century frames, even when displayed empty, serve as beautiful stand-alone pieces of art.

You can learn more about the design details of this refined bedroom in the Summer 2015 issue of Nora Murphy Country House at: https://noramurphycountryhouse.com/magazine/summer-2015/country-house-style

Happy decorating!

Love, Nora

What a beautiful fireplace. The delicate wood working is breathe taking.
I hope you pause frequently to study and enjoy the craft in this wood.
Tell me about the curtains! The room is just delightful.
