I love to stroll across the lawn, open up the kitchen garden gates wide, and poke around to see what’s new.

Change happens so quickly this time of year.  There’s always something to discover with each passing day.  Everything is growing by leaps and bounds.  Tomato plants are getting taller and stronger.  Ripe raspberries dangle like jeweled earrings, begging to be picked.  Cheery yellow squash blossoms remind me that soon I’ll happily be inundated.  Peeking underneath the leaves of the cucumber plants, I see that the flowers have passed, and their fruit has started to form.  In a few short weeks, it’ll be time to make Jack’s Pickles.  So far, my lettuce has escaped being harmed by nefarious slugs.  Ugh!  The herbs are so fragrant when I brush by them.  They smell heavenly. Tomorrow I’ll come out again, and look forward to seeing things differently.

This is what’s growing in my kitchen garden:

Peppers, assorted varieties – Being Hungarian, of course this heads up my list!

Yellow and red raspberries

Mint

Sage

Tomatoes, assorted varieties

Potatoes

Currants

Cucumbers

Haricot Vert

Nasturtium

Lettuce

Arugula

Kale

Spinach

Squashes, assorted varieties

Basil

Oregano

Chives

Thyme

Celery

Cilantro

Parsley

Happy gardening! Love, Nora

Just enchanting. We used to have a garden ourselves but no space for one now. So glad you invited me into yours. You have some very good eating ahead!
