A simple way to freshen any sightline is to fill an antique basket with potted annuals or perennials. Here in the parlor, I stuffed my old whitewashed basket with potted Lavendar that I had just brought home from the nursery. Until I’m ready to plant them, I keep them watered, and housed in this spot to enjoy the fresh look and absolutely divine scent every time I go by or enter this room!

Happy styling! Love, Nora

Must smell heavenly!! Looks like a new piece hanging on the wall behind the lavender?

How clever you are. I would have never thought to do that. Everything looks wonderful in that whitewashed basket it Just adds such character to the vignette.
