Earlier this week, I changed my profile photo on face book to our latest family photo.  I couldn’t believe all the great feedback that generated!  It really made me think. Had I let twelve years go by since our last family photo shoot?  Maybe thirteen?  Yup, it’s been too, too long. Our dear friend and photographer, Duanne Simon, documented our little family’s outing on a crisp fall afternoon all those years ago. So last month, I asked Duanne to come over to Connecticut Country House and capture this Murphy threesome (actually with Fiona it makes four) the way we are right now. The shoot was fun and relaxed, just like it was in the fall of 2000.  I can’t believe how grown up Conor is – and how fast that happened – and how Rick and I (and our white Polo oxford shirts) haven’t changed a bit (LOL)!

Maybe a photo will become our Christmas card.  But definitely our favorite shots will be added to my collection of framed family portraits – a collection that adds so much personality to any part of any room I place them in. I believe our home would not be the same without. If you’re like me and you’re thinking about updating your collection of portraits – whether it’s a beautiful head shot, you and your significant other, the whole gang, or all of the above, feel free to contact me.

Love, Nora
