Happy Friday!  Last minute change in plans on Wednesday opened up my day yesterday to take a run up to the Brimfield Antique Show, in Brimfield, Massachussetts.  In less than 4 hours, I cruised through a good portion of the show, and ended up snapping shots of details that had that ‘country house’ vibe – whether it was the patina, the color, the texture or pattern, the subject, or just a cool composition of parts captured in the moment, that got my attention. The architect, Mies Van Der Rohe had said that “God is in the details”.  Well, that’s my motto.  It’s always the details that I pay attention to.  And when those details are unexpected and a little out of the ordinary – it makes it so right.

At Brimfield, there is literally some thing for everyone.

The show runs through Sunday, and if you’re in the northeast, looking to tool around somewhere this weekend with a friend, a family pack, or just solo – go – it is so well worth the trip.  For more info on the show, please go to www.brimfieldshow.com.

Enjoy!
