Food is love. It brings comfort. It engages all the senses. To me, it’s even another way to enjoy a home—every bite represents its personality and hospitality. Plus, it just makes people happy!

When Murph and I entertain, we answer five key questions: who’s coming, when, where (inside or out) we’re hosting, what’s in season, and what’s the occasion. We draw on best-loved, most-requested dishes and mix in new apps, sides, and desserts—and if we know a guest adores tomatoes and there are fresh, ripe heirlooms at the market or in the garden, there will be tomatoes on the table.

We don’t believe in cooking fancy. I’m more interested in the personal, those special thoughtful dishes that look as good as they taste!
