The saturated cobalt decoration makes a bold statement when the plates are displayed together. Measuring 9 inches in diameter, the plates are a versatile size for dining, luncheon service, or dessert, and the complete set of eight also makes a striking ready-made wall collection. Marked “JAPAN” on the reverse, the plates were produced for the export market and reflect the enduring popularity of the English Willow pattern in Japanese ceramics.
