Finn’s Blueberry Lemonade
On this horribly hot and humid day, I thought it best to re-post this refreshing, thirst-quenching recipe for Finn’s Blueberry Lemonade. It’s very easy to whip up a batch or two to keep in the fridge, or serve guests. It’s a real crowd pleaser!
Enjoy and stay cool! Happy 4th!

Finn’s Blueberry Lemonade
Recipe NotesServes 4 to 6.
Ingredients
½ cup sugar
1 cup fresh blueberries
¾ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 cup plus 5 cups water
Directions
Combine the sugar and 1 cup of the water in a saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Add the blueberries and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer until blueberries are cooked down, about 5 minutes.
Strain the blueberry mixture through a fine mesh sieve and let the syrup cool.
In a large pitcher, stir together the blueberry syrup, the lemon juice, and 5 cups water. Refrigerate.
Serve in tall glasses over ice with a few blueberries and a sprig of mint for garnish.
Note: for a Fizzy Finn, mix the syrup and lemon juice with seltzer instead of water. (And for a Fuzzy Finn, add vodka!)
What are the glasses you are using in the pics? Happy 4th to you and yours.
HOW, OH HOW, do I reach PROJECT REFRESH on your site? I was following back then and would like to re-visit!!
I recall you gave an extensive Resource List.

I live in the Deep South where the summer is steamy, and the blueberries are plentiful.
This is a wonderful departure from sweet tea, and so refreshing. It also makes a festive libation.
I made this today – and it was exceptionally delicious. I will definitely Makebit again.
