Showing those that you love how much you love them couldn’t be simpler, as I showed Scot Haney of WFSB-3’s Better Connecticut when he visited me at Connecticut Country House. Whether store bought treats are dressed up, or home baked goods beautifully boxed with love, it’s easy to create custom gifts. My motto: It’s all in the packaging!

To further customize your gifts, we’ve designed sweet tartan Valentine’s heart tags just for you! Load white card stock into your printer, click here to download, then just  trim, punch, thread and attach.

Here are a couple of extra tips:

Tip #1: For the delicious Chewy Gooey Chocolate Chunk Cookie recipe, click here. To make them “bakery box big”, use a ¼ cup measure, placing 4 dough balls per baking sheet, slightly flattened with the heel of your palm, so that the raw dough measures about 3 ½-inch in diameter. Bake as directed in the recipe.

Tip #2: My favorite local paper resource, The Hudson Paper Company in Stratford, CT has a great variety of bakery boxes, tissue, parchment paper, rolls of colorful raffia ribbon and an array of cellophane bags in many shapes and sizes.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Love, Nora

Thank you for sharing a great video on Valentine’s Day gifts. I am going to check out the Hudson Bay and I always loved your raffia ribbon so want to get some of that too!!! I have a small flower farm in California and occational provide bouquets or arrangements myself instead of wholesaling flowers. So your free Valentine’s Day gift cards came at a perfect time!! Much appreciated and always enjoy your blog.
