Rule of Thumb. . . and Forefinger
People often ask me what my special secret is for keeping plants happy and healthy indoors during the cold winter months.
My approach to their care is quite simple:
Provide them with lots of bright light.
Water well when they’re almost dried out. The way I test is by poking my thumb and forefinger down into the soil. If it’s still moist, I leave it alone. If it feels dry, then it’s time to reach for a watering can to give them a good, reviving drink.
And of course, they, like me, love baroque music!
Happy indoor gardening!
Love, Nora
