The summertime ritual of picking and eating warm, luscious raspberries right off the bush, without fail, returns my mind to fond kidhood memories of growing up in Connecticut. For what I can’t fit into my hand, I always bring a bowl into the garden, so that I can take some back to the house to share with The Boys.

Here’s to being a kid again!

    Your gardens are beautiful I tried the same concept with mineI also have deer in the backyard but I live in a retirement community and I am NOT allowed to put up permanent fencingI have sandy soil and the only thing that will grow are green beans and tomatoes basil and cucumbers. I have rock down in my Country and it makes it hard to rototill it I will use your idea for the straw. I never knew that about the roses I have a sprinkler system so they get wet
