Bugs Under Glass
A few years ago, I discovered a pair of large, unframed, insect engravings at the Paris Flea Market. Large in scale, the illustrations were stunning in their symmetry. The intricate pattern of their layout was just beautiful. Needless to say, that it was a very short conversation that I had with myself, before deciding to bring them home.
Now mounted under old glass, in burl veneered frames, I kept the look pure and authentic, electing not to use mats. Believing that frames should ‘be at one’ with the ‘nature’ of the subject matter, and not in competition.
Happy decorating!
