Mama’s Tried and True Hungarian Shortcrust Recipe
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup unsalted butter, chilled
2 eggs
Directions
Cut the chilled butter into the flour with a pastry cutter or with two butter knives. When the butter and flour are completely incorporated, use your hands to mix in the eggs. Keep working the mixture until the dough forms a ball.
Divide into two parts, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate overnight.
