The Young Mountaineer
A taste of the Scottish Highlands. I found this beautiful antique print engraving, made by C.G.Lewis (British 1808-1880), on Portobello Road, London. I love the whole scene that is so beautifully rendered with the young boy dressed in tartan, on his horse with the Scottish mountains behind. I brought it home and framed it in an old 19th c. chippy gilded frame with old glass. He pairs so perfectly with his brother, The First Leap (NMCH-01177).
