The Louvre’s E. Nicolle 19th c. Reproduction Etching
From Paris, with love. I bought this beautiful etching at the Louvre…I fell in love with the subject matter; ships in a harbor. The original etching was made in 1878, and lives at the Louvre. The black ink is engraved into a creamy thick rag paper, and stamped with the Louvre’s logo for authenticity. I found this handsome old oak frame that has a soft greyed driftwood hue with hand rubbed old gilded edges and whitewashed wood liner. Truly a very special piece. Je t’adore.
