The First Leap
A taste of the Scottish Highlands. I found this beautiful antique print engraving, made by C.G.Lewis (British 1808-1880), on Portobello Road, London. I love the whole scene that is so beautifully rendered with the young boy dressed in his school uniform, on his horse chasing goats with a gracious Manor House in the distance. I brought it home and framed it in an old wood frame with a gilded liner and finished it with wonderful old glass. He pairs so perfectly with his brother, The Young Mountaineer (NMCH-01160).
