I found this quintessential summery platter while I was poking around in an antiques shop on Cape Cod. What makes it so quintessentially summer, especially a Cape Cod summer? The lobster, clam, ripe red tomato motifs on the field of the platter, dotted with lovely basil leaves encircling the rim make it so. The ironstone is weighty and substantial.
I’m envisioning my favorite summer salad being served on here – Fresh Caprese Salad. Perfect.
