Red, Navy & Chocolate Antique Rug

Define an entrance. I adore wonderfully old, weathered, and well worn rugs – they’re just so user friendly and forgiving, as well as just so beautiful!. As soon as autumn arrives, I anchor each of my entrances to the old house with one. This particular beauty was a very lucky Brimfield find, and I immediately fell in love with its rich color palette of Tomato Red, Navy Blue and Chocolate Brown, along with a little accent of Old Cream, Soft Gray, and Cadet Blue (if you use the underside, it’s a more faded & subtle palette). With its 3 sides of border pattern, it was cut a long time ago from a much larger and longer rug. All this is what makes this a favorite go-to that add such a warm and welcoming feel – wherever I place it!
