Pie Grieche 1804

Notable. I found this stunning black and white engraving of a Shrike that was engraved in 1804. I was taken by the striking contrast of the bird’s drawing that is so graphic against the Creamy White paper ground. I found a handsome antique wood frame with a gilded filet that truly “pops” the image.
