Natural History of British Birds – Nests And Eggs Linen Canvas
$325.00
Thinking big. I have loved this series of mid-19th c. illustrations from Reverend Morris’ Natural History of British Birds, Nests and Eggs, Volume II. Published by George Bell and Sons, York Street, Covent Garden, London. These antique book illustrations are usually small (6”x 9”). So, when I spotted this Golden Oriole nest and egg scaled up to this amazing 35”W x 50”H, printed on a beautifully textural linen cloth, I was amazed! The subject matter, colors, and scale makes this a glorious statement piece that will take care of any plain wall and create a bold focal point. Forget the multiples of small art, go for One. Big. Piece!
35”W x 50”H x 1”D
Hand silk-screened and stretched textural linen on a frame, with cloth covered backing. Wired and ready for hanging.
