A fabulous Brimfield find! This pair of lithographs are French from the Victorian period in the 19th c. They were originally engraved and published by Nicholas Robert (1614-1684), considered to be one of the most important natural history artists of the 17th c. One is black and white and greys, the other the same but with a little hand coloring. Both are on light tea paper, and in antique gilded and painted oval frames and glass. Professionally finished and ready to hang.
