Quite a few years ago, I started this collection from my annual shopping trips to the Wilton Craftsmanship Show in Wilton, CT. Every November, this event was much anticipated and my favorite! Denise Keegan Carpentier made these beautiful one of a kind pottery pieces. Denise reproduces historically accurate early 19th c. English china, primarily from the 1790-1850 period. She uses low-fire earthenware clay to make the body, and then carefully hand paints each piece. Each is finished with a pearlware glaze – totally food safe. I absolutely love the creaminess of this collection, with touches of chocolate, and the various shapes and sizes that makes it so interesting and unique. This collection is truly a rare find!
