I am a tartan lover. So when I discovered tartanware years ago, you can just imagine how elated I was! Tartanware is the name given to wood objects covered in tartan papers and sold as Scottish souvenirs. Scotland has always drawn tourists because of the natural beauty of the area. This beautiful barrel shaped box has a wood base covered in McLean tartan paper. The inside once held wood match sticks, and has a rough stone dust striking surface on the bottom. This little beauty is a true and useful gem!
