Nostalgic wooden sign makers. Hand made by Ox Pond Press in Webster, New Hampshire, this Live Lobster sign has such great presence…and provenance. Ox Pond Press was formed by Stephen & Kathleen Gifford in 1991 near Ox Pond in Webster, NH. They make their signs with white pine boards from local lumber yards. All the boards are kiln dried, and carefully selected to be free of knots..There are over ten steps involved in making the signs. Their process is indeed labor intensive. They do use power tools for the woodworking, but the rest of the steps are done entirely by hand! This is one special piece!
