Limoges Clipper Ship Soap Dish & Soap
Add a pretty nautical touch. I’m always on the lookout for interesting bowls and dishes, so when it comes to freshening the look in my Powder Room, I like simple touches: a pretty soap dish and soap, vintage towels, and a little potted topiary or small bunch of flowers. This sweet porcelain beauty is a reproduction of a Chinese porcelain saucer that was made for the American market 1795-1800, and was made by Haviland-Limoges, France, for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC. Please notice the tiny stars that surround the gilded rim. I’ve also added one of my favorite fine Italian soaps as the finishing touch.
