Form follows function…or vice versa? This wonderful old splint basket is all about its gorgeous form. This generously shaped oval is handwoven splint, with a gracious splaying out of the top rim and the base. The base has a bold, wide basket weave pattern that is noteworthy as well. The wooden rims – top and bottom are held in place by tiny nails. There are also 2 “cutouts” at each end for easy carrying. This beauty has it all! Love.
