Large Hand Blown Glass Cloche Bell Jar

Scale and form. This beautiful vintage glass cloche featuring a tall bell-shaped form, substantial clear glass, and a distinctive soft green tint concentrated around the shoulder and upper knob is generously proportioned. The dome rises from a wide flared rim to a rounded top finished with a substantial handblown glass knob sporting a raised fern frond relief. Tiny bubbles, waviness, and subtle irregularities throughout the glass give the piece wonderful character, while the green coloration becomes particularly luminous when placed near natural light.
