Laguna Yellow Sunset

A study in color. What attracted me to this charming painting was the sweet scale, and then the unique color palette of Laguna Yellow (a cool Lemony Yellow), Grey, and Black-Green. I just love landscapes and this one was very different, especially with the sweet pair of swans in the foreground (one of my favorite birds!). The painter’s brush strokes are fairly soft, so I can’t tell if the medium that was used was oil or acrylic. I found the perfect softly distressed Charcoal Black wood frame (the visible wood graining was key for me!) at my framers to truly complement and highlight the yellow and subject of this painting. Love.
