Jeanette’s Vintage Handmade Band Box

Stylish storage. I’m a lover of antique band boxes. As well as a lover of reproduction band boxes (this one is 2003) using antique wallpaper! This pretty thing is just that. Handmade by Bandbox maker Jeanette McVay, this one is quite large in scale, with a floral motif that is just so lovely in pattern and color. Jeanette doesn’t glue her boxes and lids – but instead hand sews the seams! This hand whipstitched detail on the lid and base of the box makes it that much more unique! And quite the time capsule of an interior lined with historic newspapers, and is signed and dated by the artist.
