Elegant Horn Cup

This elegant horn cup is a beautiful piece for holding pencils & pens, or a collection of feathers perhaps? I believe this is an old cow horn with an applied silver plate trim on the top and bottom rims. A very handsome piece that could go English or Western in attitude.
