Chrysanthemums

This wonderful oil on canvas is old and so charming! Chrysanthemums in naïve brushstrokes of white, blush, pink, and soft lavender grow on deep green stems against a tea ground, is bordered with a sandy textured surround. On the back, the canvas is stamped with a New York City address, and the stretchers are quite old. I wouldn’t frame this piece. I love the exposed nails on the side of the stretched canvas. It has its wear and some tear, but its such a pretty, feminine Shabby Chic kind of vintage piece that I would either hang or just lean!
