Handmade from wicker with a wood base, this charmer hinges open on 2 rope strings and reveals a well loved interior. The inside lid and and entire interior of the box is still plumply tufted with rich blue silk and matching handmade silk thread buttons. A pretty woven trim with a scalloped motif finishes the edges of the lid and box. Found inside:Two antique pins: An ‘E’ brass monogram, and a 1920 Red Cross button – along with the newer tomato pin cushion are all included. What an extraordinary piece!
