Surfaces that improve with age. I have a thing for old tarnished silver plate. I’m very picky when it comes to its form and condition. This one won me over on both counts! The footed form and its rim that is a wreath of oak leaves and vines are such a classic motif, but humble at the same time with its tarnished finish. The unexpected display of Maine stones – known for their smooth and flat surface, and earthy hues of greys, blues, browns and cream – gives this old beauty a more modern POV. Love.
