Antique Balinese Handwoven Basket

A statement piece. I found this beautiful antique basket that was handwoven by a woman in Bali in the 1960’s in one of my favorite antique shops on Cape Cod. I was attracted to its classic rounded form with a fitted lid and sculptural knob handle. Handwoven from natural fibers, it offers rich texture and warmth. Its incredibly generous scale and timeless silhouette make it both functional and visually grounding—an easy accent for bedrooms, living rooms, or entryways. A wonderful example of traditional basketry.
