Andover Theological Seminary
Quiet elegance and a touch of history. A rare find for sure, this 19th c. pencil drawing on board is all about the landscape and details depicting Andover Theological Seminary that was founded in 1807, primarily for the education of Congregational ministers. (At its founding, it was the first graduate school of any kind in North America.) Complete with historical New England architecture (Newton, MA), the Green, and of course the element I love the best (and caught my eye and heart immediately) – the beautifully rendered trees. It sits in its original silverleaf frame and original glass. It’s wired and ready to hang! A true gem. Love.
