18th c. Barn Door Grand Union Flag

One of my favorite pieces from artist Brian Laurich, is this beautifully painted first Amrican flag from 1776. It's painted on 18th c. boards from a barn door with original red paint. Additional period graphics and hinge witness marks were added. I love Brian's lovely early handwriting style that subtly reads ‘Liberty’. All of Brian’s work starts with antique salvaged architectural wood, and crafting it to replicate signage from that period. This piece is signed by the artist, and is truly a gorgeous work of art for over a mantle or focal wall in any historical or modern home.
