18th c. Barn Board 1777 American Flag

I discovered Brian Laurich at the Wilton, CT Craftsmanship Show, and immediately fell in love with his work. All his pieces, including this lovely hand painted flag is made from old wood architectural pieces. Here, our 1777 flag is so beautifully enhanced by Brian’s early hand writing of  ‘Independence’. This flag is painted onto a single barn door board that is 1.25” thick! Traces of the original chalky white paint are still on the old board’s backside, as well as the artist’s signature.
