1790 Farmhouse

Color study. Celebrated folk artist Brian Laurich, uses 150-200 years old wood with fabulous painted surfaces to create gorgeous signs, like the one I’m offering today. His goal as an artist is to transform a centuries old piece of wood into a work of art. He’s able to “read” a piece of old wood, and know how its surface will respond to paint and how its true honest character will be revealed with new hues and lettering added. I’m a collector of Brian’s beautiful artwork, and know that each and every piece just seems to brighten any wall. (Do notice the sweet heart in the upper left corner!)
