Vintage Audubon Birds of America Decorative Plates/Set of 8

This striking set of eight vintage decorative plates featuring bird illustrations reproduced from John James Audubon’s The Birds of America, was originally published in the famed Elephant Folio format. Each plate presents a different bird and botanical composition in rich naturalistic color, surrounded by a beautiful white embossed floral border. The softly squared forms and raised decoration give the plates wonderful texture while allowing the Audubon imagery to remain the focal point.
