Easy Ways to Refresh Your Home this Spring
To keep Connecticut Country House looking fresh, there are a few key things I change-up every new season. So, Scot Haney, co-host of WFSB’s Better Connecticut, helps me show you just how easy my seasonal ritual really is…and what a difference it makes!

Beautiful. I love each new season…they should be celebrated!
Always love your videos! And everything else you do!
I was curious about the miniature boxwoods. Would you be able to share the name of the boxwoods or the supplier?
I hope I can find some here in North Carolina!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!
Hi Debbie! Thank you! I bought those little boxwoods 2 years ago at The Elephant’s Trunk Flea Market, New Milford, CT. I’m sure you can find them at your local nursery.
Please let me know how you do! Love, Nora
So I have the latest equipment but couldn’t play the video
I would try refreshing the link…..may help?
Love your style….so fresh and clean!! Thanks for sharing the video!
Thanks Sharon! I’m at a point in my life, where this is very important to me. 🙂
All the best, Love, Nora
Will you please tell me where I can get wall hanging baskets like the one on your front door or others you would suggest?
Hi Linda!
My hanging baskets have all been flea market finds. If I see any for sale on-line that are similar, I will post!
Thanks very much! Love, Nora
Thank you very much. I have found some online, but none as large as yours. I’ll keep looking. Thank you for sharing your very special home. I have two rows of boxwood backed by Annabelle hydrangeas along the foundation of my house. I will follow your example and create a garden between the large boxwood and the very small in front. Just can’t wait to get out in the dirt and the sun!
I found you a little over a year ago and ever since that time I feel like I have come out of the dark ages into a new world. I have loved all my collections and things, but could never put “my” look together. I love a clean edited look, but could never accomplish it. You have given me a template to use, inspired me and I have finally achieved what I have been after for years and years….. You gave me the courage to paint what I was afraid to paint knowing that I can always paint over it if I don’t like it. What a novel idea! ha! You gave me a new way to look at my collections by grouping them and not scattering them all over the house. You gave me courage to get rid of a few things that really weren’t working, but I stubbornly clung to because I just liked them, and courage to get a few new different things to use in new creative ways. I don’t know why I never thought about storing a few things like rugs, pillows, pictures, collections, to switch out from time to time and the idea to exchange things from room to room. And moving things in and out of house and garden is my cup of tea. It keeps everything new and fresh even tho it’s the same stuff. I messaged you right after I found you and you were so gracious when you answered me. You are really a woman after my own heart. So glad for the gift God has given you and your enthusiasm to use it. It has blessed me in helping me to finally make our home the true refuge I had always envisioned. All my frustration is gone and I feel invigorated. Thank you Nora Murphy!
Thank you so very, very much for your feedback! I am so very happy for you!!!
Your note has made my day, and you are truly the reason I do what I do….it really can’t get better than this! Thank YOU, Andie!
